Hello
I have a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Emmaus Formation Center. I am a Catholic who is very active in my parish – leading faith studies, running fellowship groups and lectoring. My career was spent in senior management in engineering and manufacturing environments and as a professor and associate dean in a provincial college. While working, I earned a Masters in Theological Studies and began my own faith journey with a Spiritual Director. I know, first-hand, how important it is to walk with someone on that path.

My Story
Although I am a cradle Catholic, I think of my own spiritual journey starting later in life! After earning my Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, I worked in management positions in international technology corporations including a five year period living in England as a director.

While always active in my local parishes, once I returned to Canada, I found myself becoming more involved. It was then that my spiritual journey began as I was asked to help facilitate an Alpha program. It was exciting and exhilarating and challenging all at the same time! There was so much to learn about my faith! Before long, I had found a wonderful Spiritual Director - and my real spiritual journey began.

Since then, I have facilitated evangelization and discipleship programs, fellowship groups, faith studies and workshops. I earned a Masters of Theological Studies along the way and have written a number of books. My prayer life has deepened and my relationship with Jesus has grown. When I began this journey, it was truly academic - but now, it is my whole life - the way I think, the way I feel, the way I live.

There was one thing, however, that I learned very early on. You cannot take this journey towards holiness - becoming the best version of yourself - on your own. There are a number of tools in your toolbox to grow in your faith: Scripture, Prayer, Sacraments, Fellowship and Service and Witness. And fellowship is linked to all of them. Fellowship is more than friendship. It is the intentional pursuit of your faith - deepening of your faith and finding the courage and fortitude to keep moving towards God amidst the busyness and distractions of the world around you.

Our Sessions
I offer spiritual direction face to face or on Zoom once per month. Our conversations will be strictly confidential. Our sessions will be one hour in length with a fee of $50.00 payable at the end of each session or as mutually agreed. At the end of each session, we will book the next one. I will send out a reminder 24 hours prior to the appointment.

Our spiritual direction sessions are different from therapeutic sessions. Our focus will be on things of a spiritual nature looking for God in the things we say and do.

There may also be a time when either of us, director or directee, feel that it is time to end our sessions. Our focus, always, is on your journey and we take that guidance from the Holy Spirit. Please know that my prayers for you will continue as you begin another path on your great adventure toward holiness!
