Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Finally, this morning, I was able to wake up feeling renewed! I am re-energized in my faith. Easter weekend is just such an emotional rollercoaster - I have trouble focusing on the full story because I am so focused on the details and so overcome by the drama unfolding.
But on Easter Monday, I see it all - and I have time to reflect and rejoice! John 14:6 I am the way and the truth and the life. Oh, Jesus, those words are so powerful!
A new beginning, a new start. My next step on my journey towards holiness will be deliberate. It will be determined. It will be intentional. I commit to becoming the best version of myself. I will look at the world through the lens of faith. I will see me through the eyes of Jesus.
Here's what I will commit to each day. Just three things - that's it. I heard Father Mike Schmitz talk about this and I love it! (Fr. Mike Schmitz: "How To Never Miss God’s Will For Your Life") So easy to remember: Stay in a state of grace; Do your duty; Pray. That's it - three things. My next three blogs will talk about each one of these - but now, that's all I need to think about.
